School History & Details

Fuchun Secondary School came into existence on 2nd July 1986. Initially, there were nine teachers and 109 students. The mission of the school is to develop each student to his or her fullest potential. In the year 1991, the school set up its First lower secondary Macintosh laboratory, and information technology was used for the first time in teaching. Afterward, the school developed according to the competitive world and launched various modern technologies. In 1994 there were improvements in the teaching facilities such as the installment of Television and video recorders. Over the past years, the school has introduced many programs which develop students as well-rounded individuals. the school is well known for its academic and non-academic achievements and won several awards. Recently the school was awarded with NWCDC Outstanding School Partner Gold award for its extensive involvement in programmes organised by the NWCDC.

Achievements

The school has good academic achievement and attained remarkable achievements in Bronze for the GCE O level examinations for secondary five. In GCE value-added results top students achieve nine distinctions. In 2014 the school achieved the highest honour of the school's green audit.  Next year the school received the Excellent Service Award and also won the Northwest CDC Outstanding School Partner Silver award.

Non-Academic Achievements

The students have remarkable performance in extracurricular activities. Some students secure the first position in National School Inter Regu and North Zone Sepak Takraw 'C' boys. The students are awarded gold silver and bronze medals. In 2012, five students Broke the Guinness World Record by participating in the creation of Rangoli Art organized by the Marsiling community club.
