GEMS American Academy, Abu Dhabi

At the GEMS American Academy, the admission process requires academic demonstration, letters of recommendation, school records, assessments in Mathematics and English and an interview.
To determine the student's eligibility for grade placement every prospective student must undergo admissions testing. In Reading and Math, the students must also be at the appropriate academic level.
During enrolment, the Residence Visa, Emirates ID, TC, Official Transcripts, and other Admission Forms are required, as these documents are mandatory to register the child with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).

• Using the GEMS Online Student Registration portal register online. Before registering for that grade ensure that the student meets the Age Requirement for the required grade level.
• The parents will receive an enquiry number once the online application has been submitted. For future reference and correspondence this number should be recorded.
• To proceed with the admission process contact the GAA Admissions Office and submit the following documents: a. One copy of the applicant’s passport. b. One recent passport size photo of the student. c. Two years of school reports (including the most recent report. Reports must be in English). d. Any learning support documents pertaining to your child’s educational needs. e. Completed Confidential School Recommendation Form. f. Standardized Tests Results (if available). g. Nursery Reports (for Early Years, if available). h. One copy of child’s Birth Certificate (must be in English or Arabic). i. Child’s and parents’ Emirates ID. j. 1 copy of the child’s Residency Visa. k. Transfer Certificate (TC). l. Official transcript (Grades 10 through 12).
• The school will grant admission to the child if the assessments, interview and admissions testings were successful and will contact the parents with the offer letter. The parents will also be notified by the admissions office of the remaining admission formalities.
