At the GEMS Cambridge International School, Abu Dhabi once the decision to enroll your child is made, the parents can undergo the following admissions process:

1. To commence the process, complete the application form available on the enroll page. Before undertaking this step read the admissions guidelines.

2. The school will send across an enquiry number once the application is complete along with a link to upload the required documents (in pdf format), which are:

a. Child’s passport.

b. 1 recent passport photo (jpeg format).

c. Child’s Emirates ID (if available).

3. Through email or phone the school will send a notification informing the parents of the next step.

In order to be eligible for admission the students have to meet the age requirements stipulated in the website. The academic report cards and transfer papers have to be submitted by the students from their previous school. In English the documents must be provided. If not, from the consulate of the country the school can request certification of translation in which the student last studied.

The Year 1 and above applicants must submit a Transfer Certificate (TC) at the point of enrolment, as mandated by ADEK. In English or Arabic the TC must be and must be attested by the school and signed by the school Principal or Vice-Principal.

On the previous school's location the attestation and stamp requirements also depend.

4. Transferring from North America, Western Europe and Australia:

a. TC must bear the official school stamp and Principal’s signature.

5. The Middle East, South and Central America, Asia, former Russian States, Eastern Europe and Africa:

a. Official school stamp and Principal’s signature.

b. Ministry of Education in the country of study.

c. Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of study.

d. Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi.

6. Transferring from another emirate of the UAE:

a. School stamp and Principal’s signature. The Transfer Certificate should be in Arabic.

b. Stamp of the Ministry of Education of the Emirate.

7. In Abu Dhabi transferring from another school:

a. Through ESIS system the Abu Dhabi transfers are done online. Once your child's seat is confirmed, with an ESIS number the school will provide you so your child's previous school can transfer the file online.
