The school timings are as follows: For Pre-KG to KG2 it is 8:10 AM to 3:05 PM i.e. from Monday to Thursday and 8:10 AM to 11:30 AM i.e. on Fridays, whereas for Grade 1 to Grade 12 it is 8:10 AM to 3:15 PM i.e. from Monday to Thursday and 8:10 AM to 11:40 AM i.e. on Fridays.
The extra-curricular activity is considered by the school as a paramount to provide a holistic school experience. To offer a creative and explorative opportunities through the extra-curricular activities, for this the adopted IB curriculum requires the school in addition. For this purpose, an Extra-Curricular Activity (ECA) program with a plethora of interesting activities have been developed by them. As the major ECA, the school focuses extensively on sports. The sports ECA are also supported by the sports facilities, also known as the GIS Jaguar Sports and in the GIS, Al Khail, the Sporting Activities available are the AC Milan Club, Badminton, Cricket, Dance, Golf, Rounder, Athletics, Basketball, Cross-country, Football, Netball and Swimming. At the GIS, Al Khail, the Athletic Activities includes the Be Active, Dodge ball, Karate, Obstacle Course, Team Game, Community Yoga, Du Gymnastics, Karting, Parkour and Board Games. At the GIS, Al Khail, the Art Activities includes the Ballet, Band Class, Creation and Design, Hip Hop Dance, Japanese Arts and Crafts, Nikon Photography, Ballroom, Choir, Drama, Instrumental Music, Master Chef / Cooking and Young Rembrandts. Other noteworthy Educational and Academic-related extra-curricular activities offered by GIS, Al Khail includes the Astronomy, Environmental awareness, Game Design Code, Languages (Italian, Spanish and Russian), STEM science Olympiads, Engineering for Kids, Fun Robotics, Innovative leaders, Model United Nations and Writing/book club. The external providers such as the Delta and East Sports Management (ESM) also offer several ECAs involving trained professional, besides the aforementioned activities. Every Tuesday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, most of these activities happen. The school also offers extra-curricular activities such as the celebrations on charity and blood donation drives, religious and national events apart from the specific field activities.

The sports activities the school provide are the Swimming, Netball, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Tennis, field hockey, Golf, Soccer, Athletics and Gymnastic etc.
With an excellent sports facilities, the school is equipped and which are extensively used to support the curriculum of physical education. These facilities includes a shaded outdoor area, a 25-meter swimming pool with 6 lanes, a learner swimming pool, multipurpose sports and performance halls and an outdoor mixed-use sports court. For the netball, basketball and tennis, the outdoor sports court is used and for football, the school also has a full-sized pitch, soccer pitches (4G), two gymnasia and a smaller outdoor area. The indoor and outdoor kindergarten playing areas are included in the other sports and playing facilities etc.

Yes. Whilst enrolling at the beginning of Term 1 (September) or Term 2 (January) are recommended, they understand that families often relocate at different times during the year. Subject to availability in a particular Grade, they will endeavor to accommodate admission throughout the school year and are able to bridge students into the program given their years of experience in doing so.

The students may be required to take an entrance test or an assessment so the school can determine if their curriculum suits their individual needs. This also gives us an opportunity to assess each child’s understanding and abilities. Their assessments are done by their faculty who appreciate that each child is different and progresses at their own pace. Following a child’s assessment test, the child may be offered a place at the school, placed on their waiting list (if places are currently not available) or denied entry in case the school cannot confidently support a child’s specific learning needs and development.
