GEMS Our Own English High School, Al Ain - Abu Dhabi

At GEMS Our Own English High School Al Ain the prospective parents looking to enroll their child can enroll online. The parents are requested to upload the following documents while enrolling online:

a. Copies of Parents Passport, Visa and Emirates ID.

b. Copies of Students Passport, Visa and Emirates ID.

c. Behavior Certificate.

d. Mid-term report card OR final report card.

For CBSE the admission commences mid-November and for CIE late May. In both cases, by the MoE admission procedures laid down are the same. Before enrolling online the parents must ensure that the children meet the Age Guidelines set by the Ministry of Education.

Along with the registration form the following documents are expected to be submitted:

a. 2 copies of the student’s passport with a valid visa for the UAE.

b. 4 recent passport-size and 2 stamp-size photographs for the bus card.

c. 2 photocopies of the Birth Certificate in English or Arabic (Along with the original).

d. Students not born in the UAE must submit the attested Birth Certificate.

e. Photocopy of the original mark sheet for the last examination passed at the previous school. (For students from Grade 2 onwards this is required).

f. From Grade 2 and upwards the students seeking admission to the school are required to submit the original Transfer Certificate from the school last attended (in English or Arabic), duly attested as per the following guidelines:

1. From outside the UAE the students transferring must have their TC verified by the Education Officer of the Zone/District/Area from where the TC was obtained. By the respective embassies in Abu Dhabi the seal and signature of the E.O have to be attested. Of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) the TC must also have the attestation.

2. From other Gulf Countries the students transferring must have their TC attested by the Ministry of Education of that country, stamped by the Ministry of External Affairs of that country.

3. From within the UAE other than Al Ain the students transferring must have their TC attested by the Ministry of Education of the relevant Emirate.

The school requires every student to produce a valid health card (including immunization records and vaccination cards) as required by the health authorities.

Once the necessary information have been submitted by the parents, to proceed with the child’s placement the school's enrolment team will initiate contact.

For new admissions, upon acceptance of the offer letter and confirmation of enrolment in the applicable academic year, a non-refundable/non-transferable registration fee equivalent to 5% of the annual tuition fees is expected to be paid. Against the first term tuition fee the registration fee is then adjusted.
