In the GEMS Winchester School admissions the parents those who are interested can submit an online enquiry on the school’s website. The parents receive an enquiry number after completing the online application process and that they should keep safe throughout the admission process for tracking purposes.
Regarding the further steps the school sends an email and that must be followed. To avoid delays the parents must submit supporting documents with the application form. The school registrar contacts the parents after the completion of the admission process and sets up a meeting between the school’s education team member and the applicant. For an entrance assessment the students may need to sit to help the admission team determine the right class (grade).

a. Applicants for Year 1 to Year 9 appear for a placement test.

b. Foundation Stage candidates must meet the school’s education team members.

The admission team makes the final decision after carefully examining the assessment results.

The school can:

a. Offer a place to the student.

b. Place applicants on the waiting list.

c. Deny admission as the school holds the right to do so.

At the time of admission these documents are required:

a. Copies of student’s and parents’ passports with a valid residence visa.

b. Two recent passport size photographs of student.

c. One photocopy of the original mark sheet of the last examination passed.

d. Copy of student’s immunization card.

e. Copy of birth certificate (attested by the consulates and embassies if the child is born outside the UAE).

f. Original transfer certificate if the student is local or other Emirate’s transfer. (Concerned in the case of transfer from another Emirates duly attested by the educational authority).

The transfer certificate has to be duly attested by the followings as mentioned below, if the student is an overseas transfer:

a. The UAE Embassy in the country of origin.

b. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the country of origin.

c. The District Education Officer of the concerned district.

d. The Consulate of the Concerned country in Abu Dhabi.
