The German international school Dubai (Deutsche Internationale Schule Dubai - DISD) was established in 2008. It is a co-educational private school, previously located in Al Quoz and now (since 2015) in Academic city, Dubai. The school follows National Curriculum of Germany (based on the curriculum of the German Federal State of Thüringen) and, offers classes from KG-12. It has students from all across the world representing over 30 nationalities, evidentially among which majority are native German speaking students. GIS currently has 791 students on roll and about 43 are registered under SEN requirement.
