School History & Details

Giggleswick School was built on a half-acre plot of land in 1499. The school is based at Settle, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. The school remained in its original site up until 1867, when it moved up the hill and away from the village core to where it is today. At this period, the school and its buildings started to undergo a significant expansion. New classrooms were constructed, playing fields were set up, and boarding facilities were added. A ball, an outdoor music, and fireworks were just a few of the events the school held in 2012 to commemorate its 500th anniversary. The school is a co-ed school with students between age 2 to 18.
