Established in 1961, Glendowie College is a co-education school. It offers quality education to students from Years 9 to 13. The school follows the IB and NCEA curriculum which is an international curriculum. The school offers brilliant academic studies and extensive co-curricular involvement so that students gain confidence and learn in a positive environment. It is the only state secondary school that offers an International baccalaureate middle-year program. It provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to become active and compassionate lifelong learners. The students of Year eleven are provided with a school-based program that emphasizes on thinking skills rather than concentrating on credit accumulation.
