In 1952, Glendowie School opened for business. Since its founding in 1995, our Montessori Unit has served students in Years 1 through 8, whose parents have decided to follow the Montessori curriculum for their kids. In 1990, we launched our Sommerville special education program for kids with special needs. This program is offered by the school to help these kids learn and play in a regular classroom setting. A significant fire at the school occurred in 2011, during the school break, necessitating the replacement or modernization of numerous existing structures. Roll growth, more and better resources aimed at delivering high-quality education, and chances for every student to grow into lifelong learners in our 21st-century learning environment have all contributed to the school's progress.
As an "I Care" school, Glendowie School prioritizes offering a top-notch curriculum for instruction and learning. Our pupils will grow into self-assured, sympathetic, lifelong learners who are inspired to realize their full potential via active participation in both national and international affairs.
