Good Shepherd International School, Ooty was established in 1977. It is a renowned international co-educational institution founded by the late Dr. P.C. Thomas and Mrs. Elsamma Thomas. These both dedicated their careers to nurturing young minds. In 1995, the school introduced Cambridge IGCSE as its curriculum for providing its students with the best quality education; in 1996 it introduced ISC for Grades 11 and 12. As the years passed IB Diploma program was initiated in 2001. The school is ranked as India's and Tamil Nadu's number 1 International Residential School.
