School History & Details

The Gulf English School was opened in 1993 to provide a balanced British curriculum to the expats and locals of Doha. It is the first and only school in Doha to offer the BTEC programme as a substitute pathway for students taking IGCSEs and AS-levels. In 2005, Gulf English School became a member of BSME and also got accredited by the IB, which means they were now eligible to offer the IB curriculum. From its small beginnings, the school has rapidly developed and has become one of the leading British-curriculum international schools in Doha.
