School History & Details

In 1978, Hampstead Fine Arts was founded as a college that gave both academic and practical arts disciplines equal weight. The college encouraged students, focusing on their abilities and aspirations, and, most importantly, educating the full person leading to excellence in all endeavours. Their accomplishments in the performing arts, music, and visual arts are equally excellent to those in the academic disciplines. Small courses are used to teach the students, and they receive first-rate pastoral care from private tutors. This guarantees a high exam pass rate and acceptance into a range of British, American, and European universities for further study.

    School Values

  • lifelong learning
  • Respect
  • At Hampstead Fine Arts College they have a unique educational philosophy that guides how they approach teaching and how they foster a friendly, cooperative College. They think that through fostering their students' abilities and aspirations, the environment effectively gets them ready for further study. The classes push the kids to participate in discussion and debate so that they don't just get "taught," but rather develop into inquisitive critical thinkers and self-directed learners. They hope to ignite a passion for learning that will endure forever and be enriching even beyond formal tests.
