Headington Prep School is very popular, prestigious, and an outstanding leading day and boarding school that educates girls aged three to eighteen. Headington School was formed in 1915 by a group of evangelical Christians with the mission of giving girls "a sound education to fit them for the demands and opportunities likely to arise after the war."

Girls continue taking physical education throughout the sixth form and participate in a variety of sports, including cheerleading, football, fencing, and equestrian events.
