Situated in Rowville, Victoria, Australia, Heany Park Primary School is an International Baccalaureate World School offering a Primary Years Program. The goal of their school is to provide a dynamic, safe, and encouraging learning environment that pushes students to reach their greatest potential. The Heany Park Primary School bears the name of Mr. T.M. Heany, who worked as a Shire Engineer and Clerk of Works in the early 1900s in the Shires of Mulgrave and Ferntree Gully. On January 26, 1993, Heany Park Primary School opened its doors to 131 students. This was approximately 100 fewer than expected. On May 18, 1993, Mr. Hurtle Lupton, State M.L.A. for Knox, formally launched the school. Representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Construction, Van Driel Ltd., the builders, the Department of School Education, local government representatives, principals, parents, and friends were also in attendance.
