School History & Details

Hill House School was established in the year 1958 with the belief that all children should have access to an English-language education and that respect, understanding, and regard for others are the foundations of peaceful coexistence. They still adhere to these foundational ideals today, 70 years later. The founding family of Hill House still oversees and controls every part of the school on a daily basis, making it the only one left in London.

Non-Academic Achievements

The creation of one's imagination and ability to express oneself are encouraged at the Hill House School through artistic endeavours. When teaching students drawing, painting, printmaking, 3-dimensional work with clay, and other creative skills, a focus is placed on helping them become more visually aware and strengthening their visual memory. To record their own observations and ideas, students retain sketchbooks. By visiting art galleries and exhibitions, children are exposed to the lives and work of other artists from a young age. Three times a year, the school hosts exhibitions of the students' artwork in one of its three art galleries, which are located in Founders' Hall, Cadogan Gardens, and Pont Street.
