School History & Details

Hobsonville Point Secondary School is a state co-educational secondary school in the Auckland district of Hobsonville, New Zealand. It is the second school in New Zealand (and the first secondary school) to be developed through a public-private partnership, with the school buildings erected, maintained, and managed separately from the school management by a private consortium. It opened in February 2014. As of April 2023, the school had 770 students enrolled. They provide stimulating working conditions for both employees and students. Each student receives a personalized learning plan that outlines their interests, goals, skills, and areas for progress. This guarantees that every student has a compelling, relevant, integrated, and challenging path to success across the curriculum and in the schools' sporting and cultural activities. There will also be collaboration across schools to ensure smooth transitions between levels and children's growth is uninterrupted.
