HIHS is a Catholic school in Singapore.
It was founded in 1892 as Tao Nan School, one of the first Chinese mission schools in Singapore.
In 1920, the name of the school was changed to Holy Innocents' Boys School.
In 1957, a two-story building consisting of 12 classrooms was built at 7.25 miles off Upper Serangoon Road.
In 2003, the school became an authorized International Baccalaureate World School and started offering the IB Diploma Programme.
HIHS currently has a student population of over 1,800 students.
The school's motto is "Virtus et Scientia" which means "Virtue and Knowledge".
The school's colors are green and yellow.
The school's crest features a dove, which represents peace and purity, and a cross, which represents Christianity.
HIHS has four core values that guide its education philosophy:
