The Hong Kong Academy Application Process is as mentioned below:-

• Step 1: Get to Know Us
• The importance of finding the best school to fit your family's needs is what HKA understand. • Step 2: Create an Account
• The HKA application process first step is to complete an Initial Inquiry Form. For you this will create an account in our Admission Portal. To log in and out of the Admission Portal i.e. creating an account will allow you, at your own pace to complete your application, which means that in one sitting you do not need to complete the application. You'll receive an email with a link to our Admission Portal, once your account has been created.
• Step 3: Complete the Application
• Into the Admission Portal when you log, by clicking the green “Add New Applicant” button you can begin a new application. To upload the following documents you will be asked:
• 1. Student’s photo.
• 2. A copy of the student’s passport photo page.
• 3. A copy of both parents’ passport photo pages.
• 4. School reports for the past three years (if available), as well any specialist reports, assessments and/or IEPs (if applicable).
• 5. By the applicant student questions to be completed (to Grade and above for students applying).
• For one teacher reference form we also ask for the students applying for Pre-K through Grade 6; and also from an English teacher, Mathematics teacher, and a school counsellor or administrator for students applying for Grades 7-12 one teacher reference form.

• Through the Admission Portal you can check on the progress of your application. A green checkmark will appear, as each section is completed.
• For secondary school merit-based scholarships applicants should complete the Scholarship Application Form before starting our usual application process.
• To review all completed applications our Admissions Committee meets weekly. Once your application has been reviewed we will contact you with next steps. • Step 4: Assessment
• Our Admissions team will contact you to arrange an assessment, once we have identified a place for your child. Depending on the grade level the assessment is different.
• For an admissions assessment there is no additional fee, however the Extended assessments that may occur for applicants with additional learner support or English language needs and which include speech and/or OT evaluations may carry a pre-agreed additional fee and in specialist reports will result which will be the property of the parents.
• From overseas for families applying, in many cases an offer of enrolment first we are able to send you. For an assessment we can then arrange after you have arrived in Hong Kong etc.
• Step 5: Offer
• Within one week of the assessment we will contact parents. If we are able to offer your child a place, then with further information regarding our enrolment process we will provide you.
• At that time if we are not able to offer you child a place, then into the wait pool your child’s application will go. In the school year if we are unable to offer your child a place that you originally applied for, for consideration in the following school year we will automatically roll your application forward. In our wait pool the application will remain active as long as you continue to keep it updated.
