Since its founding, Indian School Muscat has expanded gradually and for a reason. With nearly 9200 pupils, the school has grown from its modest beginnings in 1975 with 135 kids to become the largest co-educational institution in the Gulf. The school offers academic instruction in the humanities, commerce, and sciences. Sports, Scouts and Guides, excursions, adventure camps, international award schemes, international student exchange programs, stage crafts, debates, quizzes, and other activities that help shape people into fully realized human beings are prioritized as forms of life education.
An open book representing wisdom and a blazing lamp with a flame that distributes light, signifying the transmission of information, are featured in the middle of the shield of the Indian School of Muscat. The phrase "KINDLED TO ENLIGHTEN" dispels ignorance's gloom. The torch of knowledge also promotes moral virtues like honesty and tolerance.
