School History & Details

Indian School Nizwa is a coeducational English-medium school that was founded in 1990 and adheres to the CBSE curriculum. This allowed the community kilometers from home to realize its dream of providing for its children's education. It is run by a Board of Directors and a Managing Committee that are chosen by His Excellency, the Indian Ambassador. On September 5, 2011, the community's sincere and coordinated efforts were crowned with success as we moved to a larger location at Thymsa, complete with all the amenities needed. In 1990, the school started with relatively few pupils enrolled, and since then, it has expanded to include approximately 1500 students. Not only has the school made amazing strides in academics and other extracurricular activities over the years, but it has also established a name for itself within the Indian community of expatriates.
