The group of people in the Indian business community manages the 1982-founded Indian School Sohar.
The co-educational, English-medium school is recognized by the Sultanate of Oman Ministry of Education and is a member of the Central Board of Secondary Education, India. Classes XI and XII at the institution provide a Science and Commerce program.
The school is primarily designed for kids of Indian descent and nationality. In 1982, the Indian business community saw how important it was to establish a school for the Indian population.
On April 1st, 1994, the school received CBSE affiliation for class X. In the year 200, the school was improved and affiliated with class XII.
The mission of Indian School Sohar is to be a center of excellence for academics, character development, and overall child growth, serving students of all abilities and potentials and helping them become true achievers. Our goal is to offer contemporary education while preserving the uniqueness of traditional Indian culture.
