The International School of Samui is a Thai international school located on the Thai island of Koh Samui. Its curriculum is organized by the English National Curriculum. The majority of the teaching personnel is British and is recruited from the United Kingdom. English is the only language of instruction. The school presently has 300 pupils, including boys and girls, aged 3 to 18, from 35 different nations enrolled. It is divided into four stages: early childhood, primary school, senior school, and sixth form. Mr. Jeremy Lees, a UK Qualified Teacher, ISI International School Inspector, and former British Army Officer and Helicopter Pilot, started ISS in 2007 under the prior name of Bluewater. Mr. Lees continues to serve as President of the Board of Governors.  Mr. Stephen Andrews joined ISS in 2018 as CEO, bringing a breadth of leadership and management expertise from the international school and university sectors. Mr. Andrews is in charge of the school's leadership and management.

Achievements

Students have routinely attained marks that are 50% higher than the UK average over the last three years. In the most recent IGCSE and A-Level examination series, 52% of pupils received A* and A grades.
