The school activities are limited to advanced Mandarin, coding, writer's workshop, and swimming. Parents are given the opportunity to sign up for co-curricular activities in sport, music, and drama, which are outsourced by the school; students are walked to these after-school classes by Invictus teacher and then collected by parents afterwards.

a. We use the International Primary Curriculum developed by the Shell corporation to streamline their schools world-wide. It is based on the UK national curriculum and has the added benefit of the global mindedness which is key to raising global citizens. i. How is IPC different that IB? Both are inquiry based learning however the IPC sets the learning goals while the IB allows each school to decided their own learning goals. This can lead to varying degrees of a quality education. Since the IPC is standardized any school your child attends later can easily go online to find the learning goals covered. It is also multidisciplinary rather transdisciplinary which means only subjects that are naturally fit into a theme are used rather than forcing every subject to be in every unit. b. We supplement the IPC with Jolly Phonics a UK based phonics based program. Jolly Phonics is a fun and child centered approach to teaching literacy through synthetic phonics. With actions for each of the 42 letter sounds, the multi-sensory method is very motivating for children and teachers, who can see their students achieve. c. We use the Singapore Maths - Singapore math is a teaching method based on the national mathematics curriculum used for kindergarten through sixth grade. The term was originally coined in the United States to describe an approach, originally developed in Singapore, to teaching students to learn and master fewer mathematical concepts at greater detail as well as having them learn these concepts using a three-step learning process. The three steps are: concrete, pictorial, and abstract. In the concrete step, students engage in hands-on learning experiences using concrete objects such as chips, dice, or paper clips. This is followed by drawing pictorial representations of mathematical concepts. In the lower grades, we focus mostly on the first two stages. Students then solve mathematical problems in an abstract way by using numbers and symbols.
