Jameah Girls Academy was given the task of creating a three-course meal and cultivating at least five items in a Mealbarrow in addition to their own growing space, all while combining their creative culinary skills with gardening. After that, mealbarrows are displayed and evaluated during a Grow Your Own Grub event. One excellent technique to promote food growing in the school community was through the Mealbarrow competition. Any Leicester school was eligible to enter the competition, which could be completed by a gardening club or a single class. Jameah Girls Academy won a bronze prize for our efforts.
