KC Public School, Jammu was founded in 1997 by Shri Sudarshan Mahajan, the founder and chairman of the Jammu-based KC Group of Companies. It is a co-ed K-12 institution that is connected with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in New Delhi. KC Public School Jammu was founded with the vision of making globally benchmarked education available to the children of Jammu and Kashmir. The school strives to "create and sustain a learning environment that offers students the full range of opportunities to perceive, crystallise, sharpen, and use their multiple intelligences," which, according to Professor Howard Gardner, form the foundation for a successful and fulfilling career, especially in today's increasingly globalised world.
