King's Worcester is a school for the modern and the future, providing its students with the intellectual and interpersonal tools necessary for success in the classroom and in life. It is a vibrant, dynamic learning environment. The school was one of the seven "King's Schools" that Henry VIII reestablished or funded after the dissolution. On December 7, 1541, John Pether was named as the school's first headmaster. The school started admitting girls in small batches to the sixth form in 1971. College House was built in 1977 and could accommodate twenty-one girls. The school was decided to be completely coeducational in 1989, and in 1991, females were allowed to enrol in the Lower Fourth (Year 7). Since its founding, boarders have been housed there; the last boarders departed in July 1999.
King's Worcester well-defined educational objectives centre on assisting youth in realising their maximum potential in order to equip them for selfless, happy, and selfless adult lives. Their vision is that every member of the community will be curious, caring, and self-assured. They aspire to fulfil this vision via their five core values of ambition, resilience, humility, creativity, and kindness. Our purpose is to seek excellence in all we do and to give an exceptional preparation for life.
