School History & Details

Established in 1996, Labuan International School is a co-education school that provides the best quality education to students from Reception to Year 11. It started its operations with only five primary students and three kindergarten students with a total of 6 academic staff.  In 1998, the population of students grew to 71 reflecting steady growth. The school provide two curriculum the British curriculum for International students and the Malaysian curriculum for local students. The school moved to its new campus which is located at Jalan Tanjung Aru, Kerupang. In 2012, the growth of students exceeded around 300. The new campus is strongly supported by the Ministry of Finance and developed in two phases.

Achievements

The students are performing well in academics. They secure a good percentage in IGCSE courses, culminating in the Cambridge International Examinations, based in the UK. Currently, the students are making acceptable progress in lessons. There is not much information published by the school about its academic achievements.
