Lakefield College School is based at Lakefield, Ontario. The school is both day school and boarding school. The school was established way back in 1879 and the founders of the school were Sam Strickland and Col. Sparham Sheldrake. The Grove was bought by Reverend Alexander Mackenzie in 1895, and he was a key figure in developing the school's educational ethos of a demanding academic curriculum mixed with a rewarding programme of arts, sports, and outdoor education. The school today is celebrating 130 years of its establishment.
