Lantern of Knowledge Secondary School

Lantern of Knowledge Secondary School's admissions policy and procedure are outlined below:

• Parents complete an application form, providing a copy of the student's passport/birth certificate and last year's school report by early November (application form in the appendix). An application fee of £40 is required.

• In November, English, Mathematics, and Science tests are conducted. Interview invitations are based on meeting national average levels for age/class. Interviews with shortlisted candidates and parents occur in December/January.

• Offers are typically extended by December's end.

• Admission is for one academic year, with subsequent offers depending on meeting school standards. Additional conditions may apply on a case-by-case basis.

Admission Test:
Applicants take tests in English, Mathematics, and Science.

Criteria for Admission:
• Previous school report, focusing on academics and behavior.
• Prior Exam/Enrolment Test outcomes.
• Interview.

Priority Given To:
• Year 6 students from feeder primary schools.
• Siblings of Lantern of Knowledge Boys’ Secondary School students.
• Sons/brothers of school staff.
• Parents aligned with the school's ethos and objectives.
