Achievements

The Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (LPCUWC) has a rigorous academic curriculum and a 2-year International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. In 2023, 25.2% of LPCUWC graduates received 40 or more points on the IB Diploma exams. This is higher than the world average of 14.7%. Some of the academic achievements of LPCUWC include:- 1. IB diploma score: In 2020, the average score was 36 points, compared to the worldwide average of 31.34. 2. Ivy League preparation: In 2007, the Wall Street Journal named LPCUWC one of the top 50 schools for preparing students to enter Ivy League universities. 3. 2023 IB results: 25.2% of graduates received 40 or more points, and three students received 44 points, etc & if any.

Non-Academic Achievements

The Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong (LPCUWC) has many non-academic achievements:- 1. Sustainability: The college has Fitwel and LEED Certification. It offers exercise, air quality monitoring, energy saving, and optimized daylight. 2. Quan Cai: The college offers more than 70 activities for students to participate in each year. The activities include sports teams, community support activities, and others. 3. Coral Monitoring: The college's Coral Monitoring team monitors coral communities at Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park. They also raise awareness about marine conservation. 4. Service initiatives: Students make a positive impact on the local and global communities etc & if any.

Notable Alumni

Many graduates enroll in top universities around the world, with most students earning or qualifying for significant scholarships. In the United States 46% of Li Po Chun UWC graduates go on to study, in the United Kingdom 27%, in Hong Kong 12%, in Canada 9% in Europe 5%, and in Asia 1%. "3rd-year options" others choose to pursue which can range from service to traveling, while into the workforce others go straight or for a gap year return to their home countries. Recent university destinations include Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Science Po, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge,  University of Toronto, Wellesley College, Yale University, etc. Notable alumni:- 1. Asim Butt (1978-2010 ): Painter and sculptor. 2. Niki Ashton (1982- ): Canadian politician. 3. Dominic Lee (1984- ): Hong Kong politician. 4. Elim Chan (1986- ): Hong Kong music conductor. 5. Amaya Coppens (1994- ): Nicaraguan and Belgian woman human rights activist.
