Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong

In Hong Kong Hong Kong students those who are living may apply when they are currently studying Year 9 or Form 4. Students may apply when they are in Form 5 or Year 10 but should expect to complete 2 years of the IB Diploma. Prospective students should apply directly to Li Po Chun United World College through the UWC Scholarship Scheme. At an overseas United World College If a student wishes to study without applying to Li Po Chun, the overseas college directly they can contact. All applicants should apply by November for consideration for the following school year. After applying, applicants are invited to take an aptitude test for maths and English. It is not possible to study for this test as it does not test students on any content in any course, whether a student has IB learning skills and the capability to complete the IB Diploma rather it evaluates. The student then may be invited to join the school Challenge Day in which they will be considered on their adaptability to the UWC environment. To an interview with the Principal if they are then invited, on their philosophy of life they are asked to reflect, and current events views. In May/June placement offers and scholarship offers will then be notified.

• ADMISSIONS
• For students aged between 16 and 19 years all 18 UWC schools and colleges provide a two-year pre-university education.
• 1. Application period begins in summer for next year’s class intake.
• 2. Shortlisted candidates are invited to the Challenge Day.
• 3. Finalists will be invited to a Panel Interview.
• 4. Offers and Scholarships are sent out in late spring etc.
