As The Lodge Preparatory School and Kindergarten the Lodge Group of Schools started in 1953 to serve the educational needs of British expatriates' children in Kuching. At the Masonic Lodge, Batu Lintang, Kuching it was housed, then to The Sarawak Club it moved, then in 1969 to Pearse Road. In 1984 it finally moved to its present site in Tabuan Jaya. The medium of instruction was English then.

In 1985, the Bahasa Malaysia stream was introduced, in line with the Malaysian National Education Policy.

Today, under four entities the Lodge Group of Schools operates:-
1. Lodge Kindergarten (Tadika Lodge T.1006).
2. Lodge Primary School (Sekolah Rendah Lodge SRS.1008).
3. Lodge Secondary School (Sekolah Menengah Lodge SMS.1020).
4. Lodge International School (Sekolah Antarabangsa Lodge SAS.1013) etc.
