Founded in 1857 by Queen Louise of Denmark as a school for girls from noble families. Originally located in Kongens Lyngby, moved to its current location in Hillerød in 1935. The school became co-educational in 1972. It has a rich history and alumni network that includes prominent figures in Danish society.
