Madeira aims to honor girls who will thrive in our demanding classrooms and motivating community and who are model citizens and students. Recipients will demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and can grow into influential role models in the school community. Merit scholarships are awarded to all applicants automatically; no further application is needed. Early in March, Madeira Merit Scholars will get notification of their admissions decision. Scholarship awardees who continue to maintain excellent citizenship and strong academic standing will have their awards automatically renewed each academic year.
