MAHSA International School was founded in 2007 by Professor Tan Sri Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa, the Founder and Chairman of MAHSA University. Professor Haniffa's vision for MAHSA International School was to create a world-class educational institution that would provide students with a strong academic foundation and prepare them for success in the globalized world.

MAHSA International School opened its doors to its first cohort of students in September 2008. The school quickly gained a reputation for its high academic standards and its commitment to providing students with a well-rounded education. In 2011, MAHSA International School was accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), and in 2012, the school was accredited by the Federation of International Schools of Malaysia (FISM).
