 Marshall Laing School was formed in 1962. At that time it was the second-biggest high school in Auckland.  It was named after Morrie's Father, Marshall Laing. The school land was bought by the Education Department from Mr. Archibald Morrison Laing. The school has a hundred current policies and procedures to make its school a better place for learning and growing. That school aims to create strong connections within the community Based on learning-centered relationships.
