The McCallie School Admission Process is as mentioned below:-

  • Schedule an Interview
  • To get to know your son the interview gives school a chance for them and for him to ask questions about McCallie. Than a formal interview it is more of a casual conversation. During a family visit to campus you can include your son's interview, or to talk virtually the school can schedule a time. To schedule contact the admission office [email protected] / 423-493-5631. You may schedule a campus or virtual meeting before you apply.
  • Apply
  • For the next school year to apply, go to the school's online application portal, create an account, and submit an application. Once you submit your application, through the application portal you will have access to the other required forms.
  • Submit Teacher Recommendations
  • Using the application portal, to your son's current English & math teachers electronically send recommendation forms. Beginning Nov. 1 the recommendation forms will be available to send.
  • Submit Transcripts and School Forms
  • Middle school applicants: For the previous year and current year report card for fall semester upload transcripts in the application portal.
  • Upper school applicants: For your previous two years of school and current year report card for fall semester upload transcripts.
  • In addition, to the principal or counselor at your current school send the school report form. On Nov. 1 the school report forms will be made available.
  • Personal Introduction
  • To be creative and tell the school about himself this is the applicant's opportunity. In the application portal he will use the form, upload a short video or detailing his interests write an essay and at McCallie why he sees himself.
  • SSAT
  • To take the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) McCallie requires applicants, and on December 12 they are scheduled to host the SSAT. For information about scheduling, preparation, and on how to take the test at home for those who cannot make it to campus i.e. new details. Be sure to share your score report with school using their school code 4744 etc.
