To assist qualifying neighbourhood on-campus day students, MPS has developed need-based bursaries and merit-based scholarships. For on-campus boarders, a small number of merit-based entrance scholarships are given (one-time upon entry), depending on the quality of an application and the amount of money available. Students who demonstrate strong academic performance, moral character, competence in extracurricular activities, and a demonstrated capacity to contribute meaningfully to the school and the larger community are given financial aid. Less than 5% of students are granted awards, which are competitive.
