Midleton College is a co-educational boarding and day school in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. It was founded in 1696 by Lady Elizabeth Villiers and is one of the oldest schools in Ireland. The school has a long and distinguished history and has produced many notable alumni, including Nobel laureate William Butler Yeats. In its early years, the school was primarily for boys from the Protestant gentry. However, it has since become a more inclusive institution and now welcomes students from all backgrounds and religions.
