Flexi-boarding is also offered, allowing students to stay for a specific number of nights per term. The fees for flexi-boarding vary depending on the number of nights, ranging from £1,350 for 2 nights to £2,700 for 4 nights. Occasional boarding is available at a rate of £73.00 per night.

Millfield School offers scholarships for entry into Year 9 or the Lower Sixth. These scholarships are available in various disciplines such as Academic, Art, Chess, Computer Programming, Dance, Drama, Music, Product Design, and Sport. They are awarded annually to exceptionally talented candidates in one or two of these areas.
Scholarships can provide a maximum fee reduction of up to 10%. Parents have the option to apply for additional financial assistance through a means test, which can augment the scholarship amount through a bursary. However, parents who do not require financial assistance may choose to accept the scholarship on an honorary basis.
In cases where a student doesn't meet the requirements for a scholarship but there is genuine financial need, bursaries may be available. Bursaries offer fee reductions based on the parents' financial resources, with exceptional circumstances allowing for up to 100% reduction. Parents seeking a bursary will be required to complete a confidential financial circumstances form provided by the Admissions Department.
