Mission Heights Junior College, located in East Auckland, is a big multicultural public school. With around 900 pupils and 60 staff, the school serves Years 7 through 10. The school opened in 2009 on land purchased from Sir William Manchester, who is remembered in the Meeting Place close to the library. The site was originally owned by Ngai Tai ki Tamaki, and we have strong ties with the iwi, and our whakapapa is recognized through the school haka. The school is lucky to have modern facilities and equipment, as well as a connection to the past through our role as stewards of our surrounding forest.
