The Walking School Bus programme is a parent-run initiative that receives support from the school and Auckland Transport. The Walking School Bus operates similarly to a real bus, in that it leaves from designated ‘Bus Stops’ at specific times and follows a planned route. Parents/caregivers of participating families take scheduled turns to accompany Walking School Bus children to school.

Activities offered at the school are Music, Drama, Dance, Sports and more.

Parents can use Ezlunch to place online lunch orders. You may get further details and the most recent menu from the reception or online at www.ezlunch.co.nz. The majority of kids pack lunches, which typically include snacks for morning tea and the "Brain Break" around midday. In keeping with our Enviro Schools concept, we ask that single-serve packaged products be avoided and promote wholesome, nutrient-dense lunches. Youngsters must bring any wrapping or trash in their lunchbox back home so that it can be recycled, cleaned, and disposed of. We have recycling bins accessible for kids to use during break times, but we do not supply landfill bins.

MENPS does not currently provide 'in-house' before or after-school care, however two external care providers do currently offer this service from our school. Brochures are available from the office.

We offer 2 pre-enrolment visits with the children's new teacher wherever possible, usually for the first hour and a half of the day. On the first visit, parents may stay with their child for some, most or all of the duration. On the second visit, parents are invited to settle their child into class and attend an information session, usually run by members of the school's Senior Leadership Team
