For the Grade 10 Literacy Test, Nepean High School students consistently excel at both the provincial and District levels.

Nepean High School has outstanding non-academic achievements. Its music department is consistently recognized for excellence both provincially and countrywide. NHS students participate in the popular "Cappies" initiative, which is a theatre critics and awards program, in addition to the award-winning Drama production program.
