The New English School (N.E.S.), established by the late chairman, Mr. Tareq S. Rajab, holds the distinction of being Kuwait's first private, co-educational day school to offer a British-style curriculum, ranging from Kindergarten to A level. Mr. Tareq Rajab hailed from a family with a rich history of educational pioneers, and he founded the school during a period of transformative change in Kuwait, recognizing the increasing demand for English-medium education.
Initially operating out of a villa in Shamiyah, the NES began with Secondary level classes and quickly expanded to include Kindergarten due to its growing success. It soon became evident that the school was outgrowing its original premises, prompting the construction of a purpose-built campus in 1974. Over the years, the school has continuously improved and expanded, creating an enriching environment that fosters student development and success.
NES caters to both local and international communities, welcoming children from more than 70 nationalities. The school maintains strong connections with the United Kingdom and other British and International schools worldwide.
