In the South of London neighborhood of Battersea is Newton Prep School. With 70 students, it began classes in September 1991. Dr. Farouk Walji is the founder. More than 600 students attend Newton Prep School. From nursery to year eight, it admits students ages 3 to 13. The school has always focused on serving pupils with exceptional ability since it was founded. The Apple Nursery (age 3 to 4), Lower School (Reception to Year 2), and Upper School (Year 3 to Year 8), are the three main divisions of the school. The original structure has had numerous renovations and additions, most recently in 2013.
