There is a long history at Nga Iwi School. Ngā Iwi o te motu kia kotahi ai, which translates to "People of the land be one," was the name of the school that opened in 1972 as a result of local iwi collaboration. Our variety still offers a wealth of chances for education and fostering relationships with the communities we serve today. Situated in a prominent area, near all community amenities, we have cultivated robust connections that span from education to nearby arts, cultural, and sports institutions.
NZC (MoE, 2007) is a curriculum that outlines a set of national values. After that, schools localize their own set of principles. Our school has adopted new values:
CarE stands for CURIOSITY (Pakirehua), EXCELLENCE (Hiranga), and INTEGRITY (Ngākaunui). Manaakitanga, the "CarE" that supports these virtues, is what makes up CarE.
