Northbrooks Secondary School opened on January 2, 2000, at the turn of the millennium, with eight Secondary 1 classrooms. The school, which cost more than S$23 million to build, is fully equipped with IT facilities and is located in the magnificent natural setting of Yishun Park. The school community is unified in its aim to accomplish everything possible for its students and to educate them for future knowledge-based jobs. Aside from improving their learning capacity, the school will also work to enhance their character and assist them in developing compassion for others. Northbroks is a play on the Yuan Dynasty phrase yin shui si yuan. This is one of the fundamental moral standards instilled in all Brooksians: should keep in mind
