NUS High School of Mathematics and Science was established in 2005. The school has established itself as a global mathematics and science education touchstone. It was born out of a vision to cultivate young minds with a strong passion for the STEM fields – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The idea for NUS High School was first mooted in the early 2000s, as Singapore sought to strengthen its position as a global hub for science and technology. The Ministry of Education (MOE) collaborated with the National University of Singapore (NUS) to develop a curriculum to challenge and inspire high-performing students. As NUS High School of Mathematics and Science continues to evolve, it remains dedicated to cultivating future leaders in science and technology.
