School History & Details

Three school was established by the Trent Valley Education Trust as a Tutorial Centre in 1995. It gained Independent School status during the 2003/2004 academic year and was rebranded as Focus School Long Eaton Campus. In 2009, the school moved from Beeston to Long Eaton and became affiliated with the Focus Learning Trust. At the same time, a new primary school catering to Years 3-6 was opened. Today, the school operates as an independent institution with a Christian ethos and provides education to students from Year 3 to Year 13. In 2019, the school was rebranded as OneSchool Global UK, and the campus was renamed the Nottingham Campus.  The campus features aesthetically pleasing and well-equipped buildings, a team of fully qualified and experienced teachers, and a well-rounded curriculum. The school is also well-known for its SEND programme and for fostering a close relationship between its Primary and Secondary departments. Relationships among staff, trustees, and parents are strong and supportive. Overall, the school strikes a balance between providing a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and maintaining academic rigour.

The One School Global UK Nottingham campus offers an expansive curriculum covering Business Studies, French and German, Environmental Science, and Global Perspectives. It also provides Cambridge Technical qualifications in IT, Digital & Creative Media, and Business, with Accounts or Marketing pathways. Additional subjects like Careers, Physical Education, PSHE, and RSE are included, alongside extra-curricular courses such as Chef Skills, LAMDA Speaking in Public, and Extended Project Qualifications. The campus embraces digital technology and collaborates with other schools for subject delivery through platforms like Zoom and Canvas. This facilitates the study of subjects that may not usually be economically viable. One School Global also features a Careers Advantage Programme which equips students with a clearer understanding of their career paths, thus preparing them for life after graduation. Extracurricular activities are given special emphasis. Students can participate in projects and activities on a campus and regional level. Some of the recent highlights include the termly Choir Festival, the annual Public Speaking Competition, and inter-campus debating opportunities. This is seen as a significant part of their curriculum, facilitating continuous growth and development.
